Nathaniel Wheelwright was a son of Col. John Wheelwright, and the presumed enslaver of Charles, whom he brought to be baptized in 1744.

"Charles, a Molatto, Bro't by Nathanael & Abigail Wheelwright" was baptized as an infant on Sept 23, 1744 in the First Church of Wells. "The above named Persons were Baptized by the Late Revd. Mr. Samuel Jefferds."

Shelley notes (p. 159) that Nathaniel Wheelwright was a neighbor of Joshua Gray. There is no information on Natl Wheelwright in Bourne or Remick.

Nathaniel Wheelwright, a son of Col. John and Mary Wheelwright, was born Jun 15, 1704. On Sep 26, 1729, hemarried Abigail Hammond, daughter of Joseph Hammond and Hannah Storer who had been born on Nov 16, 1707. - The Wheelwright Genealogy, p. 22
