Leslie Ranco (1907-1996) founded the "Indian Moccasin Shop" in Wells with his wife Valentine in 1949.

'"In 1949, Chief To-Me-Kin opened The Indian Moccasin Shop in Wells and was famous for his hand-sewn moccasins." Journal Tribune
